I’m a scientist. I do science. I’m also a student. Not always a very good one, but when I take an interest in something, I’ve been politely described as passionate. (Impolitely described as obsessive. Both are labels I assume proudly.)
My interests include (but are not limited to) cooking, foreign films, cycling, reading, exercising, listening to music, gardening entrepreneurship and genetic engineering.
I’ve worked for the past three years or so as a researcher in such amazing places as the Wayne State University School of Medicine’s Center for Molecular Medicine and Genetics, The National Institutes of Health, and Michigan State University (where I’m currently a student, finishing up my final year as an undergraduate). Barring any sort of meltdown, I’ll be leaving MSU in May with a degree in Genomics and Molecular Genetics.
